Today we are going to talk about the power of cohort studies. We know it is impossible to read everything in the literature, and we will demonstrate that there is value in paying attention to what are known as cohort studies. In particular, we are going to talk about the NHANES (National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey) study. I will cover what the NHANES is, what cohort it is that they are drawing on, and then we will discuss three articles that focus on balance and vestibular issues using a cohort study. NHANESNHANES is a large-scale survey research program.
